Volunteers, Welcome to Genuine Cup 2025!
The countdown is on, and we’re so excited to welcome our amazing volunteers to the Genuine Cup Houston 2025! Your energy, kindness, and commitment are what make this possible.
As we gear up for an incredible week, here’s everything you need to know before your first day on-site:
📅 Volunteer Welcome Meeting
Location (Check-In & Accreditation Pick-Up):
📍 Jones College Commons – Meeting Point
We will also be able to check you in at the Intramural Fields on Thursday, July 31st.
Upon arrival, please check in and collect:
- Your official volunteer accreditation
- Official vest
- Official hat
After check-in, volunteers will be divided into working groups:
⏰ Arriving Late?
We understand that things happen!
If you arrive after the time slothas started, go directly to the volunteer meeting point at Jones College Commons to collect your accreditation, vest, and hat. Once checked in, you’ll be directed to your assigned activity group so you can jump right in.
👕 What to Bring & Wear
We recommend:
- A white t-shirt (if possible)
- Comfortable, lightweight clothing (shorts recommended)
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
📍 Campus Map & Key Locations
- Fields (Tuesday–Thursday): Google Maps – Fields
- Final Match Field (Friday): Google Maps – Final Field
- Bus Pick-Up & Drop-Off: Google Maps – Bus Point
- Interactive Campus Map: Rice University Interactive Map
- Parking: Founders Court Lot or West Lot 2 (Max. daily cost: $12)
📍 Tournament Format
The tournament is divided into two phases:
- Phase One: Each team will play three matches. The first is assigned by today’s draw; the next two will be based on results.
- Phase Two: Teams will be reorganized into new groups according to their performance. The competition will conclude with five champions, recognizing progress and effort across all levels.
The opening matches will take place on July 29, and full match schedules will be shared soon. Stay tuned for more updates as the Genuine Cup 2025 approaches.
